Artnaturals Class Action Settlement, Claim $50 with No Receipts!
If you bought hand sanitizer sold or distributed by Artnaturals, Inc, between January 1, 2015, and May 23, 2023, you may be eligible to receive a cash payment and other benefits from a class action settlement. They’re estimating a whopping $50 per person, and you don’t need receipts or proof of purchase.
In the past year, several brands that make spray products have been involved in recalls and lawsuits because they contain harmful levels of the chemical benzene. Last year, multiple hairsprays, dry shampoos, sunscreens, and other spray-type products were recalled last year and you could request coupons to replace them. We posted about the benzene recalls here. Additionally, this settlement comes after several other manufacturer settlements for allegedly having benzene in their products.
I would guess there will be many more lawsuits of this nature in the future.
The settlement is known as Zelda Brodowicz, et al., v. Virgin Scent, Inc., Case No. 21-cv-60643-RKA, United States District Court for the District of Pennsylvania.

Who is eligible for a refund?
The settlement covers the period of January 1, 2015, through May 23, 2023, the date of preliminary approval of the Settlement.
You are a Settlement Class Member if you paid any amount of money for a Hand Sanitizer Product that was sold or otherwise distributed by Artnaturals, Inc., during the coverage period.
Is a receipt required?
Proof of purchase is not required. However, if you have receipts, you may be able to claim more.
How much will I get back?
With Proof of Purchase, you will receive the full purchase price for each Hand Sanitizer Product listed on the Proof of Purchase, inclusive of all taxes.
Without Proof of Purchase, but with a declaration attesting to your purchases, you shall receive up to ten (10) Automatic Payments equaling $5 each.

What is a class action lawsuit settlement?
For example, a class action lawsuit is one with multiple plaintiffs. In other words, there are more than one person being represented by the lawsuit. In other words, a plaintiff or plaintiffs file the case on behalf of many people who were affected by aren’t involved in the actual suit. For example, if you purchased an item that was later determined to be involved in a class action lawsuit, you may be entitled to compensation. If you’re included in the class or group of people affected, then you can file a claim to receive money, coupons or replacement products. But, each case is different, and each will specify who is included. In addition, class action lawsuits may require proof that you are part of the group of affected people. In this case, proof of purchase or other specified proof is needed. However, in some cases, no proof is required. In that case, you can file a claim without proving that you are part of the class of people affected. Of course, when you file a claim you are doing so under penalty of perjury. So, do not file if you do not qualify.
