Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day 2022 (Dress Like a Cow, Get Free Food)
July 12, 2022 is Cow Appreciation Day. Have you ever dressed like a cow for free food? If you’ve attended the Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation event, you might just answer yes to that silly question!
Next year, Cow Appreciation Day will be July 11, 2023, and they hope to have the event back again! However, it’s not looking good for 2022. Sadly, Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day — where you can dress like a cow and get free food — is postponed once again. According to a notice posted on their website:
Cow Appreciation Day 2022
Since 2005, we have celebrated Cow Appreciation Day on the second Tuesday of July – an annual tradition for Chick-fil-A® to thank our guests and the perfect excuse to dress up like our beloved Cows.
While Cow Appreciation Day continues to be one of our favorite days of the year, the best decision for our restaurant teams is to not hold the in-person event this year. This was a difficult decision, but we look forward to giving our guests delightful cow interactions in future years.
Why Cow Appreciation?
Chick-fil-A’s humorous “Eat More Chicken” marketing campaign, features cows trying to convince people to eat chicken instead of beef. The ads began in 1995, with cows holding signs with poorly written messages such as “Eat Mor Chikin”.
Fun fact, the Eat More Chicken iconic black-and-white (Holstein) cows’ names are Freedom, Freckles, Molly and Cat. Source: Phil’s Animals. Check them out if you need to rent a cow!
