Costco Eggs Recalled for Potential Salmonella Contamination!
If you’ve purchased eggs at Costco, don’t miss this recall! The FDA has warned that eggs could be contaminated with Salmonella. This investigation is still ongoing. Stay tuned as they may find more in more areas. However, right now, this covers five states in the United States.

Why is There a Recall?
Specified Eggs sold at Costco are potentially contaminated with Salmonella. This comes just after carrots were recalled, and before that butter was recalled.
What is Salmonella?
A Salmonella infection can look like various things. Some can get infected without having any symptoms but they can still spread the infection. Others may experience diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food. Those who experience symptoms are usually sick for four to seven days.
However, in more extreme cases those more susceptible may have much more extreme symptoms. For example, older adults, children, pregnant women, and people with weakened immune systems (i.e., cancer patients), are more likely to develop severe illness. In those cases, life-threatening conditions such as severe diarrhea which requires hospitalization are possible.
Which Product(s) are Included in this Recall?
Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture Raised 24-Count Eggs which are marked with UPC 9661910680 and are packaged in plastic egg cartons.
The recall only applies to units with the Julian code 327 and a Use By Date of Jan 6, 2025, which can be found printed on the side of the plastic egg carton.
Where Was the Recalled Product Sold?
Handsome Brook Farms eggs, sold between Nov. 22-26, 2024, are being recalled in 25 stores throughout five states, including Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
What Should You Do?
Do not eat it. Throw it away or return the product to the store for a full refund.
