This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever written. I’ve struggled with this my whole life, and the fact that I’m within 9 pounds of my original goal is mind boggling. I didn’t believe I could do it, and actually I set my goal too high (my goal weight was too heavy) because I’ve never really thought I could be a healthy weight. Sure, I talk about it but deep down I didn’t really see myself losing this weight. Yet, here I am! I’ve been doing WW for just over 6 months now, and love it. My whole family is eating healthier, I’ve never felt better, and I’ve lost 70 pounds!

Free Weight Watchers?!

What is WW?
Probably everyone has heard of Weight Watchers. You may even know someone who has lost weight following this diet program. Or, maybe you lost weight on it yourself. In short, there are in-person meetings or there are all-digital plans where you use an app to track the food you eat, see how it fits into a balanced diet, and automagically lose weight by making smarter choices. Or, there’s even a plan that combines both in-person and digital programs. Weight Watchers for me is sustainable because it motivates me to get moving, drink plenty of water, eat healthy, and make smart choices. People ask me, “what can you eat?” My answer: whatever I want. No, really.
What’s the new WW PersonalPoints?
Beginning in November 2021, WW changed their Points system from SmartPoints to PersonalPoints! So, everyone is different now and it’s calculated based on an algorithm which calculates everything from calories and fat to macros – all automatically figured out for you.
For example, avocados are one of my favorite foods and they’re now Zero Points for me! Eat what you want, and lose the weight. You can also earn more points by eating veggies, drinking water, and moving your body (aka exercising, which includes all kinds of things!) I’ve tried every diet known to man, but believe it or not I’ve never done Weight Watchers before now.
This is so much more than just a diet! They have personal coaches you can chat with 24/7, training workshops (virtual and in-person), access to zillions of recipes, and they even have a “what’s in my fridge” which lets you add ingredients and they suggest meals you can make! So easy!
