I don’t know about you, but I don’t love hot and spicy. I used to like a little heat, but now I’m just over it. My husband, my brother, and my brother-in-law sure do though! When we’ve gone to restaurants, it almost seems like a competition with them.
For example, there’s a Mexican restaurant in our neighboring town with terrific food. Having lived in Southern California for nearly 20 years, I’ve had my fair share of Mexican cuisine. I am blessed to have many friends of Mexican descent, who make the best food! My ex-father-in-law was and he and his brothers and cousins would sit around and eat their mom’s salsa. They each started by grabbing a kitchen towel, sitting down to a bowl of salsa, and chowing down. They used the towel to mop the sweat off of them because the salsa was so hot! Again, it was like a macho competition to them. But, looking back, it was such a fun way for the family to be together and enjoy good food and great company.
I may need more coffee – it’s still early – but I should probably add that this has nothing to do with Amazon.com, as I first thought. It’s about Amazon Peppers, by the Amazon Peppers Insiders, a product testing club made by the company. Seriously, it’s time for another cup of coffee.

They have mild and medium heat – so it’s probably not going to require a dish towel.
