Eligible Consumers
Everyone who bought Alderfer non-organic eggs for personal or household use, any time between December 1, 2020, and the date when the Court’s Final Settlement Approval Order is finalized. That date is to be determined.

How much will I get back?
Alderfer, the defendant, has agreed to a settlement of $287,500.00. That full amount will be used to pay for attorney’s fees, a Service Award to the Plaintiff, and the costs of administration. The rest of the Settlement Fund will be used to pay the claims of Class Members.
Class Members may claim $2.00 per carton of Alderfer non-organic eggs.
Depending on the total value of all claims, this amount may be slightly lower or slightly higher (up to $3.00 per carton).
- WIth proof of purchase: claim as many cartons as the proof shows.
- With NO proof of purchase: claim up to 2 cartons by signing a declaration under penalty of perjury that they purchased those eggs.
What’s the deadline to file a claim?
If you believe you are a Settlement Class Member and wish to receive a cash payment, you must submit a valid Claim Form. All Claim Forms must be submitted no later than September 22, 2025.
What is a class action lawsuit settlement?
For example, a class action lawsuit is one with multiple plaintiffs. In other words, more than one person is represented by the lawsuit. In other words, plaintiff(s) file the case on behalf of many people who were affected by but aren’t involved in the actual suit. For example, if you purchased an item that later was determined to be involved in a class action lawsuit, you may be entitled to compensation.
