Where to Get Free Bagels on National Bagel Day
Carb lovers, rejoice! Because, National Bagel Day is January 15th… or is it February 9? If you ask Thomas Bagels when is National Bagel Day? Then, they’ll tell you it’s January 15, because apparently, they thought they could just change it. It used to be Feb. 9. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not against having two different days to celebrate bagels. But that seems like an awfully bold move to me.
Where to Get Free Bagels on National Bagel Day
First, we’ve found hundreds of local small bagel shops giving away free bagels! Just hop on over to Facebook events and find one near you!

1. Bagels and Brew
The three B&B locations located in Orange County, California. So, check their Facebook page for promotions. We’ve reached out to them, and are waiting on their response.
2. Bagel Grove
In the past, Bagel Grove in Utica, NY, The Grove offered free bagel with purchase of a dozen.
3. Balsam Bagels
Located in Rochester, NY, Balsam Bagels have given freebies in the past. So, stay tuned and visit their Facebook page for more information.
4. Blazing Bagels
Located in the Pacific Northwest, they’ve offered specials all weekend for National Bagel Day. Stay tuned, and check their Blazing Bagels Facebook and @blazingbagels on Twitter for this years’ deals!
5. Bruegger’s Bagels
Brueggers Bagels gives a Free Bagel & Cream Cheese for signing up with their rewards club all year long. You’ll also get Free Bagel & Cream Cheese for Your Birthday! So many freebies! Good thing too, since they caved to peer pressure and changed to the Thomas version of NBD, January 15, last year. Stay tuned for updates on what they’re doing this year.
6. Einstein Bros Bagels
Einstein Bagel gives Free Bagel & Schmear with purchase when you sign up and again on your birthday. So, you don’t have to feel bad if they don’t offer freebies on National Bagel Day January again this year. But, stay tuned to see what they’re doing this year.
7. Harley Davidson
Last year, Harley joined the free bagel fun! Not sure if they’ll do again this year, but watch for a free bagel Facebook event at participating Harley dealerships around the country.
8. Noah’s Bagels
Of course, Noah’s offers FREE bagel and shmear when you join their rewards club, and a free Egg Bagel on your birthday! Visit their Facebook page for more information on what they have planned for NBD.
9. Panera Bread
Panera may not have a National Bagel Day offer published yet, but they sure do have a Rewards Program you need to join right now! You’ll also get a free pastry on your birthday!
10. Planet Fitness
In the past, Planet Fitness threw a big event called the Biggest Pizza, Bagel and Workout Party on the Planet in Celebration of National Pizza and Bagel Day on Sunday, Feb. 9. On Sunday, February 9, from 7 – 10 a.m. and 4 – 7 p.m. (local time), the Judgement Free Zone® was inviting everyone to visit any of its approximately 2,000 locations in the U.S. for free bagels in the morning and pizza in the early evening while supplies last in celebration of National Pizza and Bagel Day.
