National Pancake Day: Free IHOP Pancakes for Everyone!
National Pancake Day at IHOP is around the corner! This beloved celebration brings together pancake enthusiasts to indulge in short stacks of goodness to support a good cause. Usually, Pancake day is held in February. When IHOP offers guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in exchange for a donation to designated children’s charities.
National Pancake Day is one of the first freebies I ever blogged about! IHOP’s National Pancake Day may seem like a great time for free food, but it’s also a fundraiser.
So please mark your calendars for the next National Pancake Day at IHOP and join in the celebration of good food, generosity, and spreading joy to those who need it most.
Normally, IHOP coordinates its free pancake day with Mardi Gras, also known as pancake day. Tuesday, March 4, is Mardi Gras. Also known as Fat Tuesday, Shrove Tuesday, or Pancake Tuesday. It’s a time of excess because it’s the last day before the start of Lent. In other words, it’s a time of celebration and abundance. The time before the Lenten period when people give things up or sacrifice things as a symbol of faith.

IHOP Free Pancake Day 2025
In previous years, IHOP issued an IOU for a Free Short Stack of Buttermilk Pancakes between April 1 – 30, 2021! All you had to do was sign up for MyHOP before March 31, 2021, to receive an IOU coupon in your inbox.
Then, in 2023, Pancake day was February 23. In 2022, IHOP National Pancake Day was on March 1, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
But, now we’re back on track and IHOP pancake day is the same day as Mardi Gras.
IHOP FREE Pancake Day for Charity
Typically, Free Pancake Day is also to support children’s charities.
