who doesn’t love that frosty mug taste? I’m surprised that more restaurants don’t have rootbeer floats. Or even other soda over ice cream. It’s so tasty!
What is a Root Beer Float?
in case there’s anyone who hasn’t heard of a Root Beer Float, it’s a glass or mug filled with vanilla ice cream, with root beer poured over the top. Usually in a restaurant setting, the ice cream is soft serve.
Other similar seeet frozen treats include Coke Floats, which use Coca-cola instead of Root Beer.

When is National Rootbeer Float Day?
Strangely, it varies every year. In 2022, it was in July. Whereas, in 2023, National Root Beer Day is in August.
August 6th is our favorite day of the year: National Root Beer Float Day! This year, visit a participating location on the big day and celebrate at your local A&W Restaurant. Donations to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) are encouraged. Cheers!
