National Taco Day 2022 Freebies & Deals (10/4)

Yummy! Tuesday, October 4, 2022, is National Taco Day! To celebrate, so many restaurants are offering free tacos and awesome deals! So, What do you like on your tacos? Lettuce, cheese, guacamole, avocados, onions, sauce, jalapeños, or just plain? One of my kids literally only likes a hard shell with ground beef. We have a lot of confirmed deasls so far but keep checking back because we’ll be updating the list as more offers are announced!

Taco Fun Facts

Americans eat billions of tacos every year
The taco predates the arrival of the Spanish in Mexico. There is anthropological evidence that the indigenous people living in the lake region of the Valley Of Mexico traditionally ate tacos filled with small fish.
Mexican tradition states that seafood tacos are meant to be eaten at lunch and antojitos are to be eaten at dinner time.
The most common type of taco in the US is the hard-shell, U-shaped version. The soft-shelled tacos are corn tortillas that are cooked to a softer state.

On Instagram it was announced that if you make any purchase at CalTort on October 4th and you will get a coupon for a free coupon on your next visit. The coupon will be valid October 5th-19th, 2021.

Chipotle National Taco Day Freebie

Sign up for Chipolte Rewards and get your choice of free guacamole, queso Blanco or salsa and chips after you make your first purchase. This offer is valid any day not just on National Taco Day. You will receive 10 points for every $1 you spend. Once you get to 1250 points you can get a free entree! This chain Mexican restaurant is nationwide, with only 3 states that don’t have one: AK, HI and RI.

Chronic Tacos

According to their Instagram Chronic Tacos is giving free tacos and October 4, for National Taco Day. But, you do have to purchase a Coca-Cola drink of your choice. The free taco offer will exclude steak, fish, and shrimp, beyond beef, and potato tacos. Find locations in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington.

Fuzzy’s Taco Shop – Select tacos will be served all day for $1.50 on October 4. Jack in the Box – Sign up for text alerts to get 2 free tacos and a coupon for a free 5 piece order of churros. JITB has over 2,200 locations, primarily serving the West Coast of the United States, in 21 states.

Long John Silvers

Long John Silvers– On October 4 customers can get a free taco with the purchase of any combo meal. Choose the filling of your choice from batter-dipped Alaska Pollock, North Pacific Salmon, Grilled Shrimp, crispy breaded Norway Lobster Bites. Sign up to get offers in your email. You will receive a coupon to get your free taco. Usually, the day of they will post it on their social media sites as well. There are more than 640 Long John Silver’s locations across the United States.

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant

MargsMex is celebrating National Taco Day on Tuesday, October 5th according to their Instagram. To celebrate they will be doing a Taco eating contest! The fastest person to eat a 2 pound Taco Gigante will get a $100 Margarita’s gift card and a Gigante trophy. Anyone can participate! The Northborough, MA location will do this on Wednesday, October 6th. The event will not take place in PA and ME locations. They also have locations in CT, NH, and NJ.

Kids eat free every Sunday at Moe’s Southwest Grill. Of course, Moe’s are located across the U.S. in 38 states.

On the Border

This Nationwide chain announced on their Facebook page you can Get endless tacos all day long on 10/4! Choose from crispy, soft, chicken tinga or seasoned ground beef starting at $10.99 on October 4th.

Qdoba

Qdoba – New rewards members can add an order of guacamole or queso free with any order at this nationwide restaurant.

Taco Bell freebies for National Taco Day

Taco Bell – Taco Bell will be giving out free season beef crunchy tacos with $1 purchase on 10/4 while supplies last. You can also “Gift a Taco” to a friend which will come as a $2 ecard. Also, get a free cheese quesadilla when you sign up in the app.

Taco Cabana

Taco Cabana- Get $1 Bean & Cheese, Ground Beef & Shredded Chicken Tacos on 10/4 at participating Texas locations. Taco Cabana has 166 locations throughout Texas and New Mexico.

Taco Johns– Get free Fried Chicken Tacos. You can get a free Fried Chicken Taco through the mobile app all day on Monday, Oct. 4. Taco John’s is actually one of the largest Mexican quick-serve restaurants in the U.S. with 400 restaurants in 23 states.

Tijuana Flats

Not just on National Taco Day, but any day during the Gators team season you can get a free taco & chips! Just head into a participating location wearing your UF gear and mention the promo to your server! They have locations in IN, VA, NC, and FL.
