Is Recyclebank Legit?
In short, yes it is. It’s a nice way to learn about recycling while building up points you can redeem on things like coupons, magazines and more. It’s not a get-rich quick scheme. As a matter of fact, there’s not money to be made. You can, however, get some nice freebies. But, it does take some time.
Why join Recyclebank?
People join Recyclebank for different reasons. Some join because they want to get rewarded for recycling in their community, some just want to learn about living more sustainably for themselves and their families. No matter what inspires you, they’d love to share tips and reward you for making a positive impact in your community.
Earn Points
There are two ways to earn:
First, those members whose city or waste hauler have partnered with Recyclebank can earn points for actually recycling.
Second, everyone can can earn points online and on our app by learning how to lead a more sustainable life. Just head to their site or app, and go to “Earn Points” and you’ll see many things you can do to earn points. There are hundreds of points available to earn right now.
Get Rewarded
You can redeem your points for local deals, donations or exclusive savings on sustainably made goods. They have lots of free magazines you can claim, and coupons for local and online deals.

We’re a group of passionate people who’ve made it our mission to inspire others to take action – small to big – that will have a positive impact on our planet.
We trade the actions you make that have a positive impact on your home by saving energy, community by recycling and the environment by conserving natural resources for points that you can use for rewards you choose. Those rewards come in a variety of flavors: Products, discounts and coupons from the world’s leading brands (think: Kashi, Footlocker, Dunkin Donuts), or you can pay the good deed forward by donating your points to support environmental education in schools.
Through these rewards programs, we not only help our own neighborhoods and cities, but we can see what how collective actions result in one serious collective impact. It’s our world, let’s better it together.
It’s really pretty simple; you select a green action you want to be rewarded for and each time we have confirmation that you’ve done it, either through a points code or by recycling, we’ll award you Recyclebank Points. These points can be used for rewards at local and national retailers and online.
